Today was the first installment to our Kinston Fitness Assessment. Kudos to Mayhem for coming up with the Fitness test and Deadlift for helping out with form, timing, and being our official Proctor.
SSH x 15 – IC
Cotton Pickers x 10 – IC
Slow Squats x 10 – IC
PAX took off for a five minute warmup jog
Cooper Test – 12 minute run for distance
Sound of 3,2, 1, Go, a Flash of Lightning took off and we could barely see Long Distance anymore. My man can flat out run! And Forrest was not too far off his heels. The rest of us were just sucking wind trying to get through the 12 minute run. Very quickly, Long Distance had turned around and we were just all witnesses as he flew by the group in the opposite direction! However, this wasn’t the most impressive feat of the day. More of that to come….

Sit and Reach – Kudos to Deadlift for creating the awesome little contraption. Unfortunately, Mayhem put his touch on it after the assessment and will require some sanding and re-staining it!
Standing Broad Jump
Max Plank Hold – Once again, we were all witnesses. All but two were standing after 4 mins, Mule and Goggles. Googles arms were twitching a little and YHC thought Mule would maybe take top honors. Then our Nantan showed us what we all knew, Goggles is a DAMN STUD! Mule was impressive, went to 5 mins. Then we all sat back and were honored that we got to watch for free. 6 mins down, 7 mins, 8 mins, 9 min, and then we were yelling for Goggles to get to 10 mins. He did and we all thought he would drop! Nope, two more mins and Goggles came out of the Plank smooth, stood up, and got a Big High Five from every PAX member. Next time, based off Permit’s suggestion, we are going to just get a large sweet tea from Bojangles and put it right under Goggles and sit back and watch more of his spectacle feat!
