It was a rainy morning in Kinston but thankfully it was just a lite drizzle when we were running the roads.  A disclaimer was given and two routes were offered.  One being a little over 4 miles and the other around 3.

The 4 mile route was as follows:

We took the road next to 11 that takes us by the Nature Center and got back onto the King Street Bridge, went through the still decorated for Christmas Pearson Park, made our way to the end of the path and went down Pollock towards Lenoir Avenue, turned right on Queen, back to 11, towards the back road.  It was at this point YHC turned around and went back for the 6, not knowing that they had already made it past and I just added a little ways to my route.

The route that they had taken started the same but took some different turns on their way back making it about a mile shorter.  Turning out of the path and turning onto Heritage rather than Queen.

After booking it back to make it to the flag by 6:15 (barely) I yelled to start the counterama, the pax misheard and began to do a plankorama.  We all laughed about it, finished up and ended with a COT.
