The BackBlast:

It was a pleasure to be able to lead such a great group of men this morning, thanks Forrest for the opportunity.  At 5:30 I gave the disclaimer and explained the route.  Prior to our run I asked the pax to count the number of fire hydrants they passed along the way, they will understand why at the end.

Left the dog park, took a right.  We crossed the highway to get on the nature center road.  It was great to finally be able to use that area again as the water has receded.  From there we got back on HWY 11 and crossed the bridge.  Once we hit Herritage street we took a left.  We took Herritage all they way to Vernon Ave., where we took a right.  We were not on Vernon long because made another right turn on to Queen street.  We followed Queen street all the way back to HWY 11 (King Street) and followed our route back to our AO.  This route was 4.2miles.

When returned I asked how many fire hydrants each pax saw.  I had a feeling they knew what was coming next as some said 1 or 4.  However we actually passed 15 fire hydrants.  Knowing a couple HIMs are trying to do 100 burpees a day, and my name being “burpee”, I elected to one burpee for each fire hydrant passed.  We did 3 sets of 5 (OYO) burpees to equal the 15 needed to complete our workout.

COT: we prayed for our country, Fire Ant, and my dad.  We are super excited about Short Circuit’s VQ on Thursday (his birthday)! Took a picture by the flag and took off.
